Abu-Ghazaleh Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the English Language Olympia (ELO 2024)

AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), has participated in the opening ceremony of the English Language Olympia “ELO 2024”, organized by MASA for International Exams (MIE).

In his opening statement Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in the positive impact the Olympia created over the years in improving the linguistics skills of the participants, affirming that this initiative is an inspiring success story.

He further stated that the English language is recognized as the first language of communication and knowledge in the world; which means that learning English is a necessity, noting that individuals should not only learn their mother language but continuously seek to learn other languages.

For his part, Olympia General Manager, Dr. Majed Hamad, said that the ELO constitutes a very significant motivation for participants to learn the language through non-traditional ways, create innovative solutions to achieve this goal and improve the main four linguistic skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening).

It is worth mentioning that more than 1500 participants from various educational institutions around the world took part in the event this year.

The English Language Olympia aims at enhancing communication among different cultures through one educational vision centered on Jordan, in order to promote creative and entrepreneurial thinking among participants. It targets students aged (6-17) years based on five main pillars including English language test, team work, project, theatrical performance and local community service.

TAG.Global’s patronage of this event throughout the years underlines Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s belief in the concept and objectives of the Olympia which proved its success at a global level, not to mention its positive impact on teaching English.
