    British Council Signs a Partnership Agreement Expanding Educational Opportunities with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy

    AMMAN-The British Council signed a partnership agreement with Talal Abu -Ghazaleh Academy (TAG-Academy) by which the Academy becomes one of its  venue in Amman for a computer-delivered International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

    IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the world’s most popular English language test that measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. More than 11,000 organisations in 140 countries accept IELTS, including government, academic and employment institutions.

    The partnership agreement with TAG-Academy will offer more opportunities with access to IELTS exams and will increase convenience, mobility and choice for the test takers.  Exam candidates will enjoy the same experience on the exam day and will be able to choose between the different venues using the existing registration process.  

    Affirming the importance of this partnership, Dina Shisha, Country Exams Manager in Jordan said, “We are delighted to extend our long-term partnership with Talal Abu- Ghazaleh Global through signing an agreement to launch the delivery of Computer-Delivered IELTS at their premises as a new testing centre. This collaboration supports our strategic objective to expand access to IELTS qualifications for Jordanians seeking to improve their professional and educational prospects. We look forward to continued cooperation between the British Council and Talal Abu- Ghazaleh Global to reinforce support within various educational platforms for the benefit of our customers and stakeholders.”

    For her part, Ms. Areej Ghannam, Regional Manager of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Proctored Testing Centres (TAGIMETRIC),  stated that this unique partnership with the British Council Jordan would provide an excellent opportunity to IELTS’ test takers to sit for the exam with comfort and convenience.   TAGIMETRIC, which operates according to global standards, has always stressed on the importance of cooperating with pioneering bodies that seek to achieve more development in the examinations field especially in providing an excellent and secure testing environment. 

    The health and safety of test takers and test staff are a priority for both organisations and accordingly all precautions are in place to ensure test takers can sit for the exam with confidence at TAGIMETRIC test venues.  Precautionary measures in place include temperature screening, safe distance between staff and test takers, and the use of facemasks, which are a mandatory.
