    Abu-Ghazaleh Awards Accreditation to Salem bin Mahfouz Schools in Yemen

    SANA’A - The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), chaired by its founder and chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, awarded accreditation to Salem bin Mahfouz Schools in Hadhramaut Governorate of the Republic of Yemen, after achieving quality standards of the Organization. 

    Salem bin Mahfouz Schools acquired accreditation after two years of continuous work and effort despite the harsh conditions which Yemen endures. The School managed to develop its institutional performance, improved academic level of its students and provided them with positive thinking skills, life skills, and entrepreneurial projects in addition to using technology as one of the most important sources of learning. 

    AROQA visited the Schools twice; the first was in 2017 for training while the second was in 2019 for evaluation, accordingly, Salem bin Mahfouz Schools join the group of schools which were awarded accreditation to provide its expertise to other schools which are still undergoing the process for accreditation by the Organization. 

    Salem bin Mahfouz Schools are distinguished in providing free quality services to its students including health insurance, transportation among others that help improve the education system with the latest available educational tools. 

    Al-Awn Foundation for Development oversees the Schools and carefully follows up the educational development and the quality of its outputs providing thinking skills and the use of technology. 

    Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that the implementation of accreditation and quality standards contributes to raising the educational level to adapt with the latest rapid technological advancements in the world of knowledge, as well as developing governance and leadership.  

     “AROQA developed its standards at the beginning of 2019 by introducing indicators related to digital learning, scientific research and entrepreneurial projects. It also allocated a standard for creativity and excellence attributed to the need for innovators and inventors not jobseekers,” Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh concluded.

    For its part, Salim bin Mahfouz Schools expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his continuous efforts in developing education, pointing out that the Schools always seek to improve and develop the education level and capacity building of its students.
