AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), called for changing the  so-called ‘culture of education’ to adapt to future challenges that are based on the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s remarks came during the Third Arab Conference for Thinking, Creativity & Innovation, organized by De Bono Center for Teaching Thinking entitled “Towards an Innovative Generation”, and inaugurated by the Minister of Youth HE Dr. Mohammad Abu-Rumman, under the patronage of the Prime Minister HE Dr. Omar Al-Razzaz.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed, in his speech as a keynote speaker at the Conference, the need to develop academic curricula to incorporate technical applied materials that pave the way for preparing a future generation of innovators and inventors, expressing his strong belief that today's education system is not effective.

Addressing the participating students at the Conference, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh underlined the importance of choosing future academic specialties in a way that meets future market needs, noting that the world is heading towards a new knowledge revolution that forces young people to acquire novel skills to help them properly carry out their tasks in the future.

During the three-day Conference held with the participation of 12 Arab countries, the participants tackled various topics and exchanged knowledge, expertise and studies relating to teaching thinking and creativity and innovation development. The event was an opportunity for interested universities, centers, public and private institutions and small and major companies in addition to training centers to present their research and share expertise.

It is worthy to mention that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was invited to be the keynote speaker of the event due to his role in supporting entrepreneurship projects which contribute to educational development in Jordan.
